Matt Blay took and passed his class 2 (Cat C) HGV test today at the FIRST TIME attempt. Following our normal routine of 3 full days of training, today (the 4th day) was test day. We normally carry out the vehicle checks on test day so that our candidates are fully prepared for the show tell questions. Then on to the reversing practice. Unlike many other schools, we make sure we practice this manoeuvre each day several times. As there are so many variables because of a slightl
Huge congratulations to Jack Walters from JSW Landscaping who took and passed his class 1 test today at the FIRST TIME attempt. Jack came to Truck School a few years ago and took his car and trailer test. Mel Artivich needed her HGV licence to be able to drive her horse lorry. It is a 7.5t lorry but she decided as it was exactly the same process to get the larger C category, that she would do that instead. We had a little issue with our truck and so unfortunately had to delay the course by a couple of weeks but today was the day we had all been waiting for. What a day it was too... A straight through test pass with no fuss or questions asked. A great drive by Mel and now, she
Adam Foord took and passed his class 2 test today. He is duly added to the list of FIRST TIMERS as this was his first time attempt at taking the test. We had a little bother with our truck so Adam was forced to drive in our other Truck, owned by our trainer, Duncan. Su managed to do a great job, especially as this wasn't her usual training truck and Adam did great too. Hopefully our little Daf will be back on the road soon. Until then, it is more training in Duncans truck. Th
