FIRST TIME pass for Anthony

Anthony Dutton took and passed his class 2 HGV test today at the FIRST TIME attempt.

Anthony is helping to run a charity organisation, I can and I am. They have a double decker bus that will form the base of their operation while out delivering their charity work. However, Anthony did not have a licence to drive it. Following discussions about whether he would need a bus licence or an HGV licence, it was agreed that as there were no real fixed seats in the charity bus, it as an HGV licence that he required.

This was unfortunately a long and drawn out process due to having several tests postponed due to coronavirus. However, he managed to pass the theory test FIRST TIME and so on to the driving. Anthony had some experience of driving larger vehicles anyway as he used to run a local Marquee company and they had a couple of 7.5t vehicles. But today, he was in the 18t lorry and he showed the examiner exactly what he could do. Returning to the test centre with a PASS certificate and a driver for the charity bus.

Take a look at to see what Anthony and the charity do.
